Pressure mounts on US Railroads as Business groups and the White House demand a resolution for their contract dispute before Friday’s strike deadline. The chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce called suspending train supplies of raw materials and completed goods an “economic disaster.” A countrywide rail strike will freeze products, empty stores, close workplaces, and raise costs for consumers and companies.
