An attack on US-positions in Syria using suicide-drones, UAVs (unmanned areal vehicles), presumably by Iran-aligned fighters in the area. Israel has warned that Iranian-made suicide drones, a marked increase in technical sophistication for those resisting the US and its allies, are going to become more common as strife continues in the troubled region. Meanwhile, Russian Marines chased armed pirates from a captured cargo ship in distress in a daring gambit to rescue the crew and deprive the pirates of their ill-gotten booty. By patrolling the high seas in the Pacific, Russia and China may not only be bringing the force of their might against maritime lawlessness but against Washington’s global hegemony. Their message, according to former Pentagon official Michael Maloof, is that there’s a new multipolar world and Washington must learn to contend on a more equal field. He joins RT America’s John Huddy to share his analysis.
Then former CIA officer Michael Baker shares his insights on the latest new information about “Havana syndrome” the mysterious condition affecting diplomatic personnel from the US and Canada that some are dismissing as a collective delusion. He disagrees, pointing out that some afflicted by the condition have suffered traumatic brain injury. He is convinced that a directed energy weapon or surveillance beam is behind the mysterious syndrome.
