He is the author of the #1 bestselling books, If You’re In My Office, It’s Already Too Late: A Divorce Lawyer’s Guide to Staying Together (Henry Holt, 2018) and How To Stay In Love (MacMillian Press, 2020) He is a sought after public speaker and has frequently appeared on NBC Sunday Morning, Access Hollywood, The Rachel Ray Show, Nightline, Watch What Happens Live, Good Morning America and other national and local programs. His recurring “How To Stay Married” segment on the Steve Harvey daytime talk show enjoyed a national audience for thirteen episodes over two seasons.

Sexton’s perspectives on love, divorce, and technology have been featured in a diverse spectrum of national publications including The New York Times, The New York Post, The Guardian UK, Time Magazine, Elle, Glamour, Business Insider, and others. He is a frequent radio and podcast guest, has lectured at continuing legal education conferences across New York State, and has served as an Adjunct Professor at New York University, Ramapo College, and other undergraduate institutions.

Before attending Fordham Law and starting his career as an attorney Sexton earned a Master of Arts in Media Ecology from the Department of Culture and Communication at New York University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences where his research focused on the relationship between technology and cultural change.
